Well-wishers have raised thousands of pounds to help replace equipment stolen from a Blackpool busker.

Andy Joynson, who plays the electric guitar while his guide dog Toffee is sat by his side – often outside Boots in the town centre – had a trunk containing two amplifiers taken from outside his house in Ramsbottom, near Bury.

His daughter Lisa launched an online fundraising campaign to help replace the equipment. Her £1,000 target was smashed and more than £4,100 has so far been raised.
